-----------------------

I was disappointed by the lack of response to this shot. I am afraid many people didn't get the point that this was Midas's workbench, and the orchids would be the next to be changed to gold. I guess it was also too removed from the Bond movie style. A friend told me there should have been more finger (as did Posthumous in his comment). I hope I'll get a few more comments from Team Suck to help me understand what killed this score.

ahh gold finger! at first, i didnt notice the finger at all because of the gold on her fingernail made it blend in.
i think you have too many of the orchids in the shot. i think 2 at max would convey the message. and yeah, not enough finger to make u think, ahh flowers to gold. and , I dont know if its just me, but id rather have a darker background to draw the eyes to the gold. You have too much gold in it and they all start to get lost in it.

My first reaction was 'there is not enough 'touch''. More thumb was needed to emphasise this aspect and would have matched the title better IMHO.

Ok you asked for it so please take it with a grain of salt if you wish. I know I really like the harsh comments because it is where I learn more even though it stings for a minute. I think posthumous said it well. On this website you have to come up with an idea that stands out above the crown or most will vote a 5 and pass it by. When I first looked at this shot my first impression was there was just too much going on. Maybe if you would have cut the image right down the middle and then submitted the left hale. I didn't notice the thumb in the image at first and that should have stood out more. Asl oI think you are right about it being too far removed from the Bond Movie style.

I have also taken a look in your portfolio here and you have some awesome work there and you shall do good here.

I think you should have had more thumb. This just looked like a product shot to me and I just gave it a 5 and passed on by. A more assertive thumb would have stopped me and forced me to appreciate this more... because really it's not a product at all. It's more like an assemblage. And nicely lit, too.

Nice shot. I've never been a James Bond fan but this meets the challenge well. The colors are perfect and the detail is really nice.
