Very clever the way you did this!! When I first saw the photo I didn't get it at all. Now it's clearer after your explaination.
I see this is your first entry. If you have photoshop there is a great tutorial to prepare your photos for DP challenge and it makes a world of difference. Prepare Photo for DPC Challenge

I know you'll probably get the "to small" alot....It is hard to see any details. |

Bet this sure would have had a lot more impact and done better with voters if it were larger. |

Great idea; reminds me of a movie still. Unfortunately, there are a lot of technical distractions in this image that keep me from really connecting with it as a viewer. The yellow/greenish color cast is a big one but that can normally be fixed by playing with your white balance while shooting. I'd love to see a bit more detail in the shadows as well. For the sake of the challenge, it might have been stronger to bring the menacing silhouette slightly closer to the subject and perhaps have the subject looking worried or anxiously over her shoulder instead of directly at the camera. To me, she draws away from the main idea. Cool idea though! |

aaw you should've posted this with the max. allowed pixels (640 at the largest size), because the concept is good. quality of the photo isn't great by the way. almost looks like a webcam. |

Maybe I don't quite understand the meaning of this picture but from what I see it's extremely offensive. I have a schizophrenic brother and know by personal experience that schizophrenia is NOT physically harmful to anyone that he knows. |

Wish this had been larger. I can't see the details very well. I think there is something going on in the background with a knife. I like what I can see very much, and the title is so true. "Kills" in many aspects of the word. (Perhaps you know this, but in case you don't, if you change the dpi to 72 and use 640 pixel for the longest side, you will have a good size for the challenges.) |

Photo lacks focus. If the photo were a little bigger we could see what was in the background. The concept is really good, if that is someone in the back killing someone, but we can't tell from a photo this size. |

This submission is really too small to judge effectively. |

OOOooh, too small crop, and noisy ... sorry. And I don't entirely understand it, although the person in the background seem to hold a blunt instrument? |
