Very cool repeating patterns. I think the high contrast makes it, and adds to the sparseness of the subject versus the richness of its content. I find myself really looking for all the different types of patterns, in the screen, the wood grain, the mouldings, the old paint. |

I agree with the comments and still think it's a great idea! "the prettiest dirt in the challenge":) |

Try smaller aperture if your camera allows, and it will bring the foreground into better focus. Another way around it is same shutter speed and higher asa if your camera allows you to set them.
Good observation to find the dirt there. Looks like Everglades muck. It blows everywhere like in your pic when it's dry. |

Beautiful geometric abstract. I like it that it isn't totally straight, and I really like the pattern of the screen on the left hand side. IMVHO the raised border (the cream coloured frame) is a bit distracting, because the rest of it is so geometric and angular, and the frame is sort of soft looking, and, at least to my eyes, they don't really quite match. ~8 |

A bit too much contrast to me. It's also a bit tight. Took me 20 seconds to orient myself. Still, I do like the repeated geometries. 6 |
