Hurrah for advanced editing! Shot with on-camera flash, so a little eye repair was needful. My new hound dawg "Boss", whom you guys will probably get sick of seeing. But man, can he strike a pose.

Processed through RAW with DxO,
Warmth added, eyes fixed.
Gaussian blur layer, soft light, masked to reveal dog
Burned the blacks and the edges
Unsharp mask

Is this a Walker Hound? We had one when I was a child...great dogs, this guy looks just like ours did. Nice portrait.

8 - Good pet portrait and character capture. More refined crop (especially bottom left) and the nose a fraction more in focus, make this even better in my opinion.

cute dog ... wish you could have gotten him/her to sit up because the dirt is a bit distracting to me ...

Who could resist these eyes?! Betcha have a hard time saying "no" to this one! *smile* I keep wanting to pass a bone through the screen! About the only constructive bit I could add here, is that I might have been tempted to crop the foreground (ground) off just a tiny bit more.
