I'm sorry for your low score! This was one of the best in the challenge. Great use of negative space as well. |

This is a lovely moon shot! The composition, the frame treatment, everything is very spot on. |

You tell them, my entry also got many comments about it not being dirt. Are people that narrow minded or are they just uneducated? Anyhow nice shot but I wish it was a bit sharper. Well at least you broke 5. |

Here are two lists of comparison showing the major soil compositions of the Earth and Moon (just and FYI)
Earth:
34% Iron, 29% Oxygen, 15% Silicon, 12% Magnesium, 2% Nickel, 2% Sulfer
Moon:
42% Oxygen, 21% Silicon, 13% Iron, 8% Calcium, 7% Aluminum, 6% Magnesium
115 people are telling me they thought my photo was average or below and that they still believe the Moon is made of cheese? You're kidding me! Oh well...I guess the numbers speak for themselves...it's Lunacy I say! You just wait 'till I get out my 16" telescope - I'll put you right inside one of those craters. Then, I'll dig a hole and cover you with...what?...dirt! Another FYI - the Moon is NOT, I repeat, NOT a Planet - it's a 'Moon': an object the revolves around a Planet. A Planet is an object that revolves around a Star, like the Sun. Class dismissed - smoke 'em if ya got 'em. |

Very good detail in this image, but very little to do with dirt... |

Another good moon shot. I like your choice of cropping as i think it adds to the impact greatly. |

That's on heck of lunar close-up you got there, lots of detail for sure. |

I was thinking of submitting one just like it. Cloudy and cold skies kept me in. |

Moon shots, no matter how close all by themselves are usually fairly boring. This is a tiny bit better because, well, it is really, really zoomed, eh? 6 |
