Rudy shot in the terrarium by the light of a flashlight.
Shot in RAW, converted in CL1 with a push in color space towards the blue. Moved to PS2 and cropped and sharpened, 160, .2, 0. Reduced yellow in selective color and did a tiny burn on the shadows on the snake, and burned some highlights on the dirt. Saved for web and re-sharpened.

Love the colors -- including the color of the dirt. Would have preferred a different perspective, though.

Is it me or is this up-side-down? Nice colour!

Compositionally an uncomfortable shot to view - it seems that this is just a quick snapshot, with no prior conception of what the end photograph would look like.

Not a fan of the angle... seems really odd to me.

A darn nice image! The sideways light makes the little snake stand out. Thank you for sharing. This looks very real. I guess I'm biased to nature pics. My first impulse before seeing the title was "There's no place like home". from Oz.

Ahhh, a snake! Love the orange on brown. It's probably not the best match for "dirt", because the snake draws so much attention to itself. ~6

The color is nice as a contrast. i think I may have cropped the snake to the bottom of the frame. 6
