This was not set up. Best I can tell this little guy must have been traveling warp 2 when he slamed into the business end of this cactus. He has been perched on this thorn for at least a few weeks. I hate bug pictures, but I went outside to take a picture of a cactus for sticky and there it was. A dead wasp stuck to a cactus. Pretty cool, because I hate bugs.

Cool photo, but the wasp didn't do that on its own. This is almost certainly the work of a shrike.

I really liked this - in my world, it would have done much better.

Top irony. Interesting play of yellow lines and unusual wing shapes in rigor mortis. Not just a bug picture.

Great play on concepts. Something that sticks people getting stuck. Extra points on the concept alone. Nice use of focus as well.

Seems fuzzy and the exposure overall is very uneven. A bit more work with highlights and shadows might have brightened up the bee and dulled down the grass. Right now the contrast is too much the same overall, and the grasses catch your eye first because they are brighter.

Ouch. Not sure if this gives the sticky feel though it's a great macro shot.
