Normally the flash that close would have a bad effect on the photo, but in this case it actually adds to the photo. Nice selective focus, especially having the fire blurred out in the background.

I really like the out of focus fire in back! The marshmallow almost look like tiger fur. I like the texture on the backside of the fingers, and I like the composition. ~8

Looks like you shot this over the BBQ in the back yard? Your flash is a little bright on your hand creating harsh shadows. Sidelighting would probably tone that down a little.

Very nice. You get a 10. There are few things as sticky as a burned marshmallow. Love the hands and that bokah'd fire.
