Yep, I bet I can guess where you live. I was trying to find a way to shoot the snow, but I could never figure anything out. I can see here that you did a fantastic job. |

The difficulty with the DPC background shade is that it's actually quite bright - soa high-key shot, as snow inevitably is, sometimes requires something to separate it from that background. Here, although your exposure is perfect, nevertheless many of the broad field tones of your image are very close to that shade. It's one example of a situation where I think some kind of border would serve you well to maintain the integrity of the image against that field of grey. Nice picture, but a bit twee for my taste. |
