Challenge: Pink Floyd (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-400D Rebel XTi
Location: Amman - Jordan
Date: Dec 18, 2006
Aperture: 5.6
ISO: 200
Shutter: 2.5 seconds
Date Uploaded: Dec 18, 2006

Picture taken in the office. I had asked my boss (who is a DP Challenge member as well) to help me with the pose; since I needed another character in the picture.

I used the glass-brick wall in the office, with me on one side and my boss on the other.
I lit my side only with two spot-lights.
(This setup helped produce the saturation variation that is seen -see below for editing done)

The aim was to give a feeling of two separate worlds trying to reach out.

Light metering was determined by the camera, as well as the focus. (Camera was left on auto-program)
No alteration was done except for little cropping around the edges and raising the saturation of the whole image (evenly) as per basic editing rules.

Good thing that this was done after working hours, so I can safely say "no salary deductions will be made :)".

Very nice representation, the glass blocks serve the metaphor visually so much better than bricks would!

7 i think it would be more effective if only the hand of the man from this side would be shown, or a silhouette...

I really love the heart shaped dark spot next to the hand. I think maybe this suffered from compression? Colors are great as well as composition.

if the focus was on the foreground silhouette subject...with glass-wall and background person blurry, this probably would have had more impact. imho of course.
