I like your interpretation of the challenge. One thing that would have made it even better is the word "graceful" somewhere in the passage. |

While the image is nice and sharp, I don't think text goes over too well here. I myself rate these types of images lower because I don't feel the shots are very challenging. |

I see where you were going with this, but feel it's a stretch by simply taking a picture of a few bible verses. I'm sorry, this is not my idea of photography. |

I would suggest putting this at an angle or cropping to eliminate the words at the side. Also this paper is so thin the words show through from the other side which is distracting. Maybe different lighting would help with that. Give my regards to the one who inspired these writings :) |

I think the subject is too simple for me, the letters coming through from the other side of the page disturb me a bit, and the ones on the left side a bit, too - why didn\'t you crop at least those ones? |

I don't really care for the head-on approach to photographing text this way. Taking a picture of a page of a book in this way, no matter how significant the words are to the challenge them, fails to evoke any emotional reaction. It seems like little more than a photocopy of the page. I could do that with my Xerox machine. In this case, the fact that you can see the type on the reverse side of the page through the text clutters your photo compounding the problem. I would suggest if you wish to use these words to bring your point home, try photographing the page in a different way. Shoot the whole book or try different angles. Add foreign object such as a bookmark or feather. Work with your lighting...something to add intersest. |
