I like the background, but it's either too grainy or not grainy enough, I'm not sure. The lighting is blown out a bit on the actual battery is somewhat distracting.

If this wasn't overexposed some on the bottom of the battery I'd say it works well. The grain is ok. Some are going to like it, others will not - it's a very polarizing technique here at DPC. This photo reminds me of an outerspace shot, where the battery is a spaceship and the area behind is the gallaxy with a black hole. :D Good luck in the challenge.

The white spot at the negative end of the battery is a bit distracting, but otherwise I kind of like it. Slightly abstract, sharp, grainy. None of which are bad things in my mind.

Hey that's cool! Personally I would have cut a little off from the right and shown some more of whatever is coming out of the battery, but I still really like it.
