Idea - good. Background - bad.

Is this a self-portrait? Looks like it was fun!

Could use a little more sharpness. Good photo and concept.

Interesting idea but would work better if the battery were in sharp focus. Easier said than done, huh?

Focus seems a bit off -- makes it look to me like it's falling rather than floating.

The battery is blur lah.
12/28/2006 05:08:15 PM
A faster shutter speed would have been more effective. The battery is a little blurred.

Great idea, but the battery is fuzzy and the hands are cropped. Keep trying, with a faster shutter speed or a flash, and you'll get better results. Try to get both your hands in the picture and maybe wear something black for the background.

Nicely shot, but would have been a bit better if you had gotten enough light to really "freeze" the battery in place. Good overall, though.

If the battery was in focus this would be a 9. Instead I give it a 6

I'm afraid, but I cannot reaaly appreciate it since it seems more a falling battery than a floating one (IMO). Furthermore the idea is damaged by the fact that the focus is not on the battery.

The battery is out of focus a little and it really detracts from the shot as it is supposed to be the main element of the shot.
12/27/2006 03:05:24 AM
I guess higher shutter speed would make the battery look better..

The fuzz on the sweater is distracting and it seems your battery is getting lost in the bg.
12/27/2006 01:01:15 AM
Neat idea. What could make the picture better is removing all the distracting elements in the background (belt, multicoloured clothes, lint, etc.) as well as capturing the battery in focus.

magical battery... well done.. looks like Coley's work...
