The light is very harsh and makes the image look flat. If you want natural light, try to take the image closer to sun rise or sun set. It gives a softer, warmer, feel and will also give the image more depth. |

i rated this picture at 6, i think it got cropped too tightly to the chestnut horse or course... |

The wee pile of horse poop in the background is a bit off putting, good photo though. |

horses, always graceful, i almost submitted a photo of just a horse doing dressage, just his head and neck though. The lighting in your photo is great, and I like the shadows very much. Cute horses, it would have been good to brush the one in the background for the photo at least. I like their ears. |

The repetition works to add more grace to the picture. The difference in the color of the horses and halters also adds interest. There are a couple of things that you might consider improving. The nose of the horse futherest away is a little close to the outside border and the shadows are a bit distracting and they lead the eyes up to the umm.. brown patch, in the grass. |

Lovely horse image very crisp, sharp etc., interesting composition and expeosure spot on but not sure that this composition shows the grace that horses have to offer. |

Great subject, horses are indeed graceful animals. I like the colors and shadows you've captured in this shot.
I feel the composition of the image could be improved a bit by providing a bit more room on the left and a bit less on the right. Combine that with a bit lower camera angle (to keep the black horses ear shadows from showing) and I feel this shot could be a top 10 finisher!
Hope this helps,

I think this shot has a lot of potential here. Just some personal suggestions, I would narrow the depth of field a little bit more to make the horse in the background a little bit more blurred, I really think that would add to the effect here, also, the shadows in the lower right hand side are kind of distracting. Really, this is a good shot, just has a few minor composition errors. Good luck! ;) |

I think this is a little too tightly cropped, especially in front of the horses. They kind of need a little more breathing room, especially the lead horse. Nice and sharp tho, did you get model releases from them :-) |
