Macro of the front panel of my computer.

I thought with the excessive noise it looked like the sand under receding water at the beach.

-Super-macro mode, handheld
-Tungsten WB
-RGB Curve
-Copied Blue Channel to new grayscale document
-Cropped a little from left and bottom
-Resized for DPC
-Mode > RGB
-USM at 12%/48 dia/TH = 0
-USM at 12%/48 dia/TH = 0 (second application)
-USM at 66%/0.6 dia/TH = 5
-USM at 66%/0.6 dia/TH = 5 (second application)

the B/W conversion doesn't make this look like sand anymore ...

This B&W looks flat. I think colour would make it more interesting...

This is almost too subtle. If I squint I can see more of the ripples better so maybe more contrast would help?
