This is an excellent idea, however your technique is off slightly. You have excellent focus on the jeans with wonderful detail and then the foot has little detail. I would like to see more of the "footprints" in this.

As for meeting the challenge I can see where it is coming from but i have a feeling some didn't feel the same way. Keep thinking though, I like how you were thinking here. It really was a wonderful idea.

a Green color cast is distracting as is the purple on the outside of the far leg.

This is a really super idea! The idea that a child's foot can be graceful is so lovely. I also like the natural pose here, and the colors of the jeans and pants. This shot might have worked better had the foot been more defined. We often think of graceful things as curvy, so working with that generalization, it would be nice to see the curve of the insole lit nicely. This eliminates your nice candid here, and you'd have to move your subject a little, but it might be worth experimenting with.

This looks like just a snapshot of a child's foot without any real artistic statement being raised from it. I think this is a case where too much detail is detrimental in that the veins and color variences give it a rather ugly feel instead of evoking a sense of grace. Maybe it would have been better in black and white.
