A beautiful action shot, but unfortunately the disembodied legs in the upper left hand corner pull the eye away from the action. |

nice capture and interesting way of looking at grace - definitely works...for me, for this to get a higher ranking you would have had to have just the two skaters...the head at the bottom is jarring. 6 |

For such a rough sport, these guys sure are graceful with their movements. Good idea for the challenge. |

i rated this picture at 7, i like it a lot, even it's "overprocessed" qualityĆ¢Ā¦ it makes it very vivid and lively. |

Hockey doesn't usually come to mind when I think of grace, but you've captured it nicely (once I convince myself that #9 isn't about to clobber #2 with his stick). A bit contrasty, but that sort of goes with the sport. |

Great colours and sharpness. Looks a bit more like power than grace to me though. A single skater might have fitted the brief better. Brilliant shot. |

Nice sports action shot. Sports has a lot of gracefulness and hockey players display how graceful they are on the ice. Nice even light. |

An interesting take on the challenge. One doesn't often think of hocky players being gracefull. It would have been and even better shot without the player's head in the bottom of the shot. |

overexposed, top of the white helmut has too little separation from the ice |

Shame about the noise levels... looks like you pushed the digital zoom to it's limits. Would have been an amazing shot without the extra head at bottom, and feet at top. 6 |

I wouldn't have thought of hockey as being graceful, though a different scene might better convey grace - maybe a breakaway, a goalie doing a split to make a save or something like that. If this had been an open ice hit, I'd have given it a 10 just as a bit of irony to the graceful theme. This image falls somewhere in between though, and IMHO doesn't convey grace very well. Also, the exposure and colors are very nice, but the image is a little oversharpened. -6- Mav |

there is way to much grain .. their jerseys look so pixelated - it almost looks like it was over sharpened or something. Also, the concept of ice hockey doesn\'t necessary speak \"grace\" to me |
