The flare adds to the effect, but the sun seems to be too blown out. I don't know what you could do to avoid this, perhaps dropping the levels just at the highlight level. |

I've been seeing a lot of variations on this theme: holy statues in outdoor settings. I like the effect of the sun flare in this shot, though. It lends something to the picture as a whole. |

I am not to fond of the lens flare for this image. It almost takes away too much detail. I personally would also like to see the subject more off center, or perhaps just crop more off the right side of the image. |

Is that the natural flare of your lens or did you use an add on filter?
Nicely seen but IMO the statue is just that bit indistinct. |

Now this is more than just a picture of a statue. Good use of light, good sky included, nice angle. Could have cropped a bot of the bottom part away. |

IMO, God's grace seems a bit too obvious here. I'ts a very good idea, but thera are some possibilities to improve this shot. Untilt by 2°, reduce light and add contrast, then play with colors to give a better legibility on the statue. |

The sky is a bit noisy. Have you tried BW ? Good framing |

All together, it's a really smart shot! I like the idea and the chose of subject a much! Maybe the sun is too glaring, did you use some filters? I guess not, probably would have helped (with the red-purple circles, too, but maybe also cancel the rainbow-alike sunstrokes I love a much). About composition, I would have left a bit more space between the sun and the statue, because it hurts my eyes a bit that I have to look so close to the glaring sun. I also would have chosen a different angle, to place the sun above her head. |
