 ran Luko USM technique, its three passes. first at 150, .3, 0. set to darken. second at 150, .3, 0 fade 50% set to lighten. third 18, 40, 0. normal settings. Librodo uses this, think his old woman pick with the wrinkles and opaque eye. Added a really slight S-curve. And two gradient layers. One bw normal mode and duplicated that and set to color at 78%. I liked it to bring out your work with single source light. Maybe it helps. I'll take this down if you want me too. Just let me know.
