We had no snow, but when I came home, my neighbors house looked like this. From RAW, curves, hue/sat, and image mask (light/dark) applied to pull the proper dynamic range.

You at first I saw this and I could see the trees in the background and the house next to it. Then I moved and the screen tilted a little and it faded all out all that and it looked good. I think that you should have adjusted the levels and burned some of the image to get that almost HDR perfect look. I Gave you a 5 but with some better editing I would have gave it a 9.
One more thing, I would have pulled the car out of the drive way and edited out the telephone box in the yard.

Pritty family home, Try and make the photo when it is not too dark yet, and slighly underexpose. The lights will be less glary 6
