The city in the background really adds the final punch to this shot, as the boat looks like it belongs in a small coastal town, but there it is among all the yachts and the skyscrapers, creating a great diachotomy. Also lovely colors and exposure, composition, etc - all the technical aspects spot on. 10

Nice composition and understated colours. Perhaps lacks the DPC eye-candy appeal, but I like it. 7.

Interesting simplicity and calm contrasted with the urban structures.

What a great find and photo. I bet those big buildings in the distance would buy this photo to hang in thier lobby's. Nice work.

Gorgeous, glassy water, and the blue boat is almost surreal. Really like this compositon. Hope it does well for you. 10

Nice study of the boat harbour. You seem to loose some sharpness. Study the winning photos on DPC and learn what they make different. PS I am also not there yet. 6

The color of the boat is wonderful. Nice light.

I love the composition, but I am unfond of the coloration of the background cityscape. Something that would be really effective on a shot like this (post-challenge, of course) might be to try two-toning the background and the water and leaving the boat itself (which would be pretty easy to select with a lasso tool and some patience) in its rich blue color. If you try that sometime, email me the result. I'd love to see.

I'd put money on this landing in the top 10. Possibly a ribbon contender?

Great tones and I really like the contrast between the boat and the skyscrapers.

There's something about the placement of a little canoe that just add a touch of art and class to a photo! I really love this!
