The challenge description seemed to beg a more literal interpretation of 'fence' but hopefully your ootb rendering isn't hurting you too much. I like the idea and the only real nitpic i have is the contrsat between the bricks and the lines of tape. To me the floor overpowers the picture and draws attention away from the girl. That said, your lighting is nice and well controlled. |

Nicely lit and shot - but the challenge does say that it refers to physical, actual fences so maybe the image has strayed away from the subject set? |

Challenge description: The fences we are referring to are actual, physical fences; some are decorative, some are protective, some mark boundaries, some are for erosion control. Think about fences, and give us YOUR perspective :-) |

DNMC. I would have rated this photo a 9 or 10 except for the fact there was not a physical fence involved. I love the color, tone and the subtle touches such as the old wall behind her. Very intense beautiful and well photo, IMO, it just wasn't the right photo for this competion.
Please keep submtitted more, I love your work. |

Could it be that you failed to peruse the content of this guideline"
"The fences we are referring to are actual, physical fences; some are decorative, some are protective, some mark boundaries, some are for erosion control. Think about fences, and give us YOUR perspective"
This is a nice image, but you truly have failed to meet the essential criteria of the challenge. |

I love this shot, both in symbolism and composition, but it is DNMC. . . |

I like the shot, but i don't see the fence in it.. her dress but how? I simply don't get it. vote = 4
Edit:
"Maybe it was my mistake on translation (i'm italian, ..and sorry for my bad english in this few rows.. :P ), but i meant as fences anything that wrap or frame something. this is why i've searched something different that cage a cow or that is around a house."
Thanks for this reply, because it helps me to understand where you come from. Words can mean different things in different languages and i for one think we should take that into account. So as you understand fences as something to wrap or frame something, i'll look at your shot in that way.
Your title indicates that she is rebellious, so i expect her to fight the wrapping, to fight against her limits. I don't see that. I see her sitting passively and that actually destroys the impact of the wrapping.
As to the light: you have something strange going on, you have blueish tints in her dress, hair and even on the ground (at least on my screen) and there doesn't seem to be an explanation for it. I think a bit of postprocessing would have helped you there.
I do like the idea very much, but i would have liked to have seen you go all the way (fighting against her bounds). Vote=6 |

I usually like out of the box interpretations, but in my opinion they shouldn't be in this challenge since the description specifically says "actual, physical fences". I know it does say "your perspective" but because it says physical fences too, I feel like creativity might have been better spent on finding a way to present a physical fence in an interesting light.
Please don't think I'm against out of the box shots (a look at my portfolio should tell you otherwise) - I just feel like this challenge was not the challenge to do it in. I am boosting you a couple points for such a technically amazing shot, but to be honest you are not getting a good score from me. |

Well, it's probably technically dnmc but...I love out-of-the-box and you've taken a quality photo...9 |

Hmmm, nice try but doesn't cut it for me. Philosphically it seems it would be better if she appeared to be rebelling/fighting the contstraints too. |

This shot made me morbid and scared (I am a bit of a claustrophobic) but there is no denying its technical beauty. That's gotta be a 9. |

While an interesting rhetorical twist, I'd much prefer to see this done for another challenge, and see your perspective on something more physically and less metaphorically a fence. |

A 'spose the wrapping could be considered a fence though using the title to explain how it meets the challenge is a bit much. |
