No fireworks shows in the area. Had this idea for a while. Not expext it to do very well, but thought it was worth a try to see if something atypical can score well.

Shot on 'bulb' setting. Flash fired at the beginning, then I spelled out Texas. It was reversed for the camera so I flipped it in PS.

For these types of shots, it helps to have the person with the light source wear all black.

Not really fireworks to me...

A neat idea, well executed.

The "ghosting" of the human subject as he positions himself behind each letter could have worked really well. It's a shame the ghosts are so faint behind most of them, and so solid behind the "T".

Did you think about trying to darken the grass, at all?

Very nice! Needs a black background to really emphasize the "Texas", but a great idea none the less.

Does that say "TENS"? It's really hard to tell. My boyfriend and I stared at this for awhile last night and couldn't figure it out.

That is great. Thanks for the smile. We Texans know how to have fun with explosives. ;~p

I think you've got too much time on your hands or something.

;p

It's a great idea and you pulled it off with flying colors. The lighting is nice and clear and even.

The neighbors must think you've cracked.
