Well, this was taken and edited while I was on vacation at Copper Mtn Resort in Colorado, so it was edited on my laptop. Hopefully I didnt overdo it...
Levels, some spot editing, crop, hue/sat: red+yellow +15 (hopefully thats not too much, looks fine on my laptop) blue and cyan -100, resize, sharpen, border.
I debated long and hard whether to leave this image in full colour, or go with the selective desat to emphasize the fence. Obviously, I went with the latter. I guess it all depends on the competition, but I would put this in the 5.5 to 6.2 range. In any case, Im confident that this one will at least increase my average...
Post challenge:
Did about what I expected. Did the desat hurt my score? I cant really see it being a big factor, oh well.

| Somehow it doesnt look like a natural fence, Some creativity here for the challenge i guess. Whatever.. the colors are great and maybe you could have left some sky and mountain background instead of cropping it so close |

| Very nice line/angle chosen for this shot, and nice background. Not sure why you chose to desat it, though - I think it would probably be just as good in full color. |
