terrible photo, but it's 5am and I'm too tired to edit this once more (it sucks, I know).

Edit after the challenge:

Ok, so an explanation for this "non fence" pic, well ...I have the bad habit of reading fast so I misread the challenge description. Thus instead of reading "actual, physical fences", I read "actual, psyhical fences" ... and combined with "some are protective, some mark boundaries" ... well ... you saw the result. I realized the mistake when the first comment arrived...d'oh.
I'll read carefully next time, promise :)

So thanks for the comments and thanks to those that kind of saw what I meant with my pic. And special thanks to jodeeanne that made that a favorite.

Nice fence... Where is it?

"The fences we are referring to are actual, physical fences; some are decorative, some are protective, some mark boundaries, some are for erosion control. Think about fences, and give us YOUR perspective :-)"

Very different interration of the theme and a welcome change, i would have liked a sharper focus on eyes

A nice image which has me puzzled. The relation between this image and a fence would be what? I do hope you will enlighten me once this challenge is over as I am always ready to expand my horizons.

i like this but for some reason i wish her eyes were a bit lighter.. something to glimmer in the center, something that makes us want to tresspass and go over her fence so to say you know? just a thought, overall like it

I saved this photo for last. I don't think I'm quite getting it. I barely see how it fits the challenge but, it is a nice photo for certain.

Am I to assume the mask is playing the part of a fence in this shot? My entry actually has a fence in it but apparently some of the voters are having trouble seeing it. I can only guess your score will probably suffer for not actually having the physical fence clearly showing in the shot. It is an interesting shot, Good Luck.

I think this is a beautiful, and very thought provoking photo, but it seems to be stretching the rules about a physical fence. I would rate this an 8 if it was an open challenge.

Beautiful photograph, but it and the title don't say "Fence" to me. (Perhaps, at a stretch, it could be Walls.)

confused about how this could be interpreted as a fence. great focus. background is grey, should be whiter for good contrast.
