 Night view of St. Anthony's Chapel, Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh

Taken on a tripod, off camera flash manually fired several times from different places in the scene, once catching the shadow of the photographer against the brickwork (Or maybe it's a ghost!)

Two differently exposed/white balanced versions of the same RAW file combined using layer masks. Some sharpening, smoothing, dodging and burning, and curves for contrast.

This is a great photo! I did not initially see the person shadow on the stone. Actually I was distracted by the red light (tower?) in the left background. I think it should have been removed. But excellent idea!

It would have been fine for me without the ghost since the ruin is so interesting against the city at night. The haunting adds a new element to a charming scene.

i really like this shot ... the colours are great. they just pop out of the image. i hate to be picky, but tilted horizons really bug me ... and this one's quite noticeable. however, good shot! :)
