 This is an actual photo of my boss's desk on January 2, 2007. He is simply the worst procrastinator I have ever seen when it comes to putting things away. In fact, his calendar on the wall still reads October 2006.

Definitely meets the challenge, but the composition and focus is lacking in photographic "artistry" in that it is too busy. I'm no expert, but I get your idea. But, based on other interpretations I'll go 6

I get that you're wanting to show the clutter here, but it still looks too much like a cluttered snapshot for my taste. Maybe trying a different perspecitve would help?
