Oh, for a little more light on the faces! The tablecloth drowns out everything else...

I know how tough it is to get a decent dinner table photo. You managed it here. 7

refreshingly different

appears to be an Italian family, i like to tone here

It's just too much contrast for my tastes... the whites are completely without detail, and the people on the sides have simply gone black, also losing detail.

Contrast a bit too much? Washes out the shadow and loses detail
01/11/2007 12:42:33 PM
A little bit of motion blur and high contrast is not working for me.

I dont know if you were going for a high contrast situation here, but the table is definitely blown out. Taken too far, IMO.

Not a portrait, too much contrast.
01/11/2007 12:44:38 AM
I don't feel that this is a portrait, sorry.

too bright

Not my idea of a portrait. More of a birthday party snapshot.
01/10/2007 10:35:56 AM
Wow, there is way too much going on here.
01/10/2007 04:47:45 AM
Best Wishes.
Happy Birthday to you

I dont see this as a portrait, more a snapshot/group shot.
