Well, I'm two for two on loving your recent entries and being baffled by the voters. The composition is interesting, the shadow adds an additional focal point (and an interesting one), the sunglasses add mystery ...

Great composition IMHO.....the title says sunbather, I like the harsh light and the very distinct shadow. The model is more than pleasing enough to the eye to withstand the stark light and with the subject off center just a tad, it just plain works for me! As to the sunglasses, who'd be out in that sun without 'em?

EDIT TO ADD: I am surprised at how much definition there is on the off side of her face where I would expect it to be too dark. I also like the crisp detail.....the clarity of the left earring is a nice detail.

Nice shot Julianne. The only thing I don't like is the stark shadow. It is certainly well composed and very sharp.

Great tones in this Julianne, and I quite like the duplicity of the shadow. Makes for a very interesting and well-balanced composition. Also didn't hurt that you selected a very lovely model for this! Score sucks; picture most certainly does not.
