Hahha. Didn't even intend to enter this challenge, and have already unsubmitted and resubmitted at least once.

We have very few nice sunset around here, for whatever reason, so when I saw this one, I drove down a side road, lined it up and shot a few.

Cropped, rotated about 2 degrees (it looked level when I shot it), saturated a touch, and cloned out the church's porch light and a stree light or something.

Thanks for the comments.

About the focus -- actually the shot is fairly much in focus, on the original. In Paint Shop Pro, at "1", the file size was like 158, so I bumped it one and it came down to under 150. However, it blurred when I looked at it after submitting -- thus the multiple submissions. A few minutes after the deadline, I realized, I probably could have just trimmed a few pixels off of each side, and wouldn't have had to compress it at all.
DUH!

May be I'm missing something, but for me, the content doesn't quite meet the challenge subject. This could be any night.

That said, the balance is nice and the eerie blue beneath red in the sky is otherworldly. I also like the fact that the foreground is out of focus to an extent. The combination of the focus and the feeling that the image is out of balance slightly (feels heavier on the right) gives me a slightly off center -- have to tilt my head to make the world seem right.. feeling.

Good work.

The red sky is good, reminds me of blood red skies you seen in horror movies. Unfortunately, probably due to the low light, the silhouettes are blurry and as such the overal effect is somewhat lost. It still remains a spooky quality to it.

What a red sky! Kinda spooky! The clarity or sharpness is really wanting in this shot, just too fuzzy for my personal taste but the balance between the ground and sky is close to perfect for me. A 5 to start

NICE sky! (Are my eyes going out or is nothing in focus?)

Great sky colors. I like the lighting and shadow effect. You might want to sharpen in photoshop it looks a little out of focus. 5.
