If nothing else, I have some awesome pictures of her from this session; I am thrilled about this as she can be difficult to photograph (um, she tends to make weird faces ... just ask her siblings).
Also my first entry shot in RAW. Something new for 2007.
Shot with a window to her right and a lamp on her left, plus the speedlight/softbox on the camera.
PP - converted from RAW (brightened and positive exposure compensation to lighten it up a bit during conversion), cropped, levels, burnt around her eyes and mouth to emphasize them, burnt her jeans to de-emphasize them, cloned/burnt background some, cloned/burnt stray hairs on her sweater and the backdrop, upped the contrast and gamma, converted to duotone, resized, sharpened, blurred background, dodged eye highlights ... I think that's it!

Her head turned so far to her right bothers me - I want to look where she's looking but then the sword draws my eye too. She appears to be smiling so it's not as if she's about to draw the sword to defend herself from whatever is coming from her right...
