i really don't see how this relates to the challenge. Also the image is too small to see what's going on. |

Lacks resolution, context and meaning. I do see some potential though. |

Check out the turorials. Go with max size a challenge allows or at least 640 on the long side. Really dont see a portrait here. The lighting is real harsh. Just take some time and read. |

I Really can't see what it is.. The quality of the image is simply to low, to see any detail.. |

DNMC for me...a portrait? a pictorial representation of a person usually showing the face |

I don't see any portrait - but then again, the picture is way too small to see anything... |

I'm sure a million people will point out the faults in this. As it is, I have no reservations giving it a 1. I dont really see how this could be considered a portrait, but I'll try to offer some constructive criticism anyways. The bowl? has good contrast in it, but your small size and lack of detail hurts it alot. By using a larger, higher quality image, youd bring out the detail and texture that are essential in a black and white. The contrast is there; adding the other two could make this a decent black and white (although not a portrait!).
Hope that helps, better luck next time. |

I see b&w ... I don't see a "portrait" though. Size and quality looks kind of like a camera phone. Anyway, point being ... make use of the full resolution available to you in the challenge (most are 640 pixels, I think this one is 720, but your image looks like it's only about 300 pixels across). |

I don't think this meets the challenge intent. It is not a portrait, but a still life. |
