Thanks for all the comments. Yes, this is my first DPC challenge and must give Zoomdak my younger brother a large amount of the credit as he guided me on the editing. On another note, the horizon line is actually straight, as charliebaker noted the bright logs create an illusion that it is not. |

Hey, nipped your hotshot bro by a vote! Way to step into DPCland and place in the top 30! Great photo. I attempted to straighten out the horizon on this photo when I first looked at it and realized then that it is straight, but the bright logs in the water create an optical illusion making the whole thing look a bit tippy. What a sunbreak though! Thanks for a sweet entry. |

nice reflection. I love how the light illuminates the trees but lets the cloud fall bac into the cooler feeling shadows. |

That is a great reflection. I think it would be a little better if you brightened the sky up. |

AHHH!! really nice photo, BUT WHY DID YOU LEAVE THE HORIZON CROKED????? if you straighten that out it will look real good. |

Very crisp for a misty landscape, last bit of sunlight is beautiful. I'd tilt your horizon line a degree or so clockwise to center the reflection line. |

Great shot mate, little crooked sadly but I'm still voting this one up regardless as the reflections are stunning. |

Lovely shot - I'm not sure about the title interpretation. |

Very beautiful shot, although I don't think the the centred composition carries the title as well. If the horizon was higher, the eye would have had to travel farther across the water to get to the point of interest (the bright island), and that might have conveyed the title better. Still, it'd make a great print that I'd be proud to have on my wall... Have you tried a square crop? |

I hate landscapes. I hate symmetrical reflection photos. But I like this photo. Why?? 7 |
