I like the portrait a lot. I don't think the background, which is very busy, adds anything to this, though.

I find your image appealing. It appears to be slightly over sharpened, but I like the way your subject is off centered and the orderly way she's carrying the books with titles visible. Good contrast in gray values too. Good luck in the challenge.

The way you processed the skin and eyes creeps me out to be blunt. The skin looks like plastic and the eyes almost glow. No offense.
