Taken with a Tamron 19-35mm lens. I thought of this while thinking about infinite. For some reason the first thing that came to mind was the Smashing Pumpkins song "Infinite Sadness", and this was the result.

At first I was only thinking of the headstones as looking infinite when I thought up the idea just in my head. However, as I started thinking about it, and taking the picture I had in mind, the deeper meaning of death being infinite fits in as well. Even if you believe in an afterlife, its still infinite, so it fits pretty nicely I think.

I didn't take as many shots as i wanted. There were a lot of people around, and it felt kinda weird taking pictures at a cemetery with so many people. I guess this one is ok anyway.

Might have come out better if the person wasn't cut off, but still a good picture.

I am back to this now for the third time. Great emotion, the black/white is the ideal choice for this i think. My only suggestion is to raise the crop just a little to avoid cutting his head, but I see the horizon is a bit distracting and it may not work for this shot. - nice work.

nice pic

try this,

next time when you convert to grayscale using the gradient knock out or down the blue channel first before you lay the grant layer on. I'm not sure how you do this in PS but in elements 2 you go to adjust color-collor variations- make sure it's set on midtones and then desturate...(I think ) blue You'll get a Yellowish cast. apply your gradient layer. you'll be surprised at the results

Nice idea...the only problem I have with this shot is that dates on the tombstone, and by looking at the boy...it doesn't seem believable that he had even know this women...she may be a relative but is level of sadness or "infitinite sadness" doesn't seem real to me if that makes sense... The black and white works well with this shot, though I think it would have also been better without the thick black border. 6

excellent theme and composition. I think this photo would work really well with a more shallow depth of field also... great work :) = 10

Moving photo. I do think it's a bit dark....on my monitor that is. Not sure how others will view it. Also the man is a bit cut off with _dead_ space at the bottom. Still I get the idea your expressing.

Wow This is beautiful! I love how the stones goes on forever And the guy in the corner putting more emotions in the picture B&W is very good here. Great job!

A beautiful, meaningful, and touching photo. The world needs more of this quality photo and less death.
