 Yes, I bought myself new hiking boots for Christmas - quite comfy they are, too. I showed a shot to my mom, told her the challenge and the song title, and she said "I don't think that's what the song title is referring to" or something along those lines. Probably not. Never heard the song, never even heard of the artist.

The patch of background light at the top right is distracting, and also the dark exposure seems to lose details that I'd think might improve a close-up abstract such as this.
