My first ever black and white portrait. The first shot I\'ve ever converted to black and white for that matter.

Lit with a single 500w tungsten bounced off a piece of foamcore.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. Something got screwed up with the softening between my original and the final jpeg I posted. I screwed up my mask for my softening when I flattened or something.

I gave this an 8. Beautiful photo and model. However, I am not 100% sure you're trying to create a soft image or if the photo is out of focus. Maybe it's my monitor. Nice work !

Lose of detail due to light being too low IMO. Basically the Eye you can see should have been the focus point but its blurred.
