Too bright; her face is washed out :-(

Hi Julie. I can't believe I'm seeing this image here in this challenge after you'd posted it and garnered substantial feedback on how to improve it, etc...

Generally, that's considered poor etiquette for challenge entries. Blows the whole anonymity thing and all - plus with all the feedback you've, in essence, collaborated on the creation of this (which is also a no-no, this one's in the rules).

I understand you're pretty new to this. Perhaps I'm only one of a few that've noticed this and will remember it from the forum. :)

Good luck!

A wonderful portrait, but for me it's just too bright. Would have liked to see some more detail in her face and shirt.

For me there is a loss of detail around the bridge of the nose and on the forehead where the highlights have just washed out - a pity because the lower part of the face has nice high-key detail in the skin.

This is lovely, but I generally don't like high key shots. This is just a preference thing though. Good composition, lovely subject, gorgeous title, and a real sense of life and movement.

Those highlights are intense. Think could have been better if toned down.

Focus a tad too soft and highlights a tad blown out for my taste. 6

I Like this picture. But it is to much brightness. I would like to see my contrast.

Over processed. The eyes look unnatural.

Ok, there is a ragining debte about people's voting habits at the moment, so i will attempt to give a detailed comment with my vote:

I find that the shot is tooo overexposed. You lose facial details that normally make a person's face interesting to look at. And the eyes are overly processed, and not only to they stand out too much, but they actually make me feel uncomfortable. However the capture of the smile is very effective and has to be taken into account. Also composition wise it;s quite good with the capture of the moment! 6 because it's above average but overly processed.

To my opinion, she lights up a little too much, sorry.

Vary nice shot. Love the expression on her face. Lighting a bit harsh.

The light is really harsh as well as the blur. Beautiful little girl. A shot like this would certainly benefit from a softer smile.
