Laurie, one of my closest friends, and I get together and take pictures just for fun all the time, so she was the first person I thought of to model for this picture.

I converted the picture to B&W, cropped, adjusted lighting, curves, and sharpened the image.

The way you processed the skin creeps me out to be blunt. The skin looks like plastic. No offense.

I think this will be much better if the eyes were in focus instead of the nose and forehead. Otherwise it's good, it's expressive and has good impact.
