 I was trying to get an old or antique look with this, maybe the softening was a bad idea, lol. It was cropped and then I used Photoshop the diffuse glow filter with grain set at zero and clear around the midpoint of the slider and the glow effect fairly low. Lighting was nothing more than the strobe on the camera (Pentax *ist DL).

Dude looks like Fidel. Looks way too soft. Either undo the softening or sharpen.

Captivating. I get the sense of the man so mission accomplish. On the technical side, this probably could be a little less bright but it's not at a point of distraction at least not for me. Good luck.
