this is Garay, the security guard at the research station where i am currently working in panama. this guy has been a good friend of mine and always has this same great look on his face, where there is always some hint of a smile. very warm-hearted guy who has lived through some tough times, yet still always flashed that sly grin. i have full respect for the man.
well this is my first photo challenge i've ever entered, and i'm just getting into photoshop, but i was pleased with the image mainly because i know i captured that expression. post processing:
convert from raw, crop, hue sat, gradient tool, dodge&burn with paintbrush (mainly eyes), hue/sat again (desat), levels, save for web |

| Wow, it doesn't look like it was dark outside ... but look at the size of his pupils. It's as if you took the shot in the dead of night. In any case, I'd like to see a little more of a catch light in his eyes to liven up the eyes. |

| I like the shot...but I guess I wish it was a bit crisper...or processed in some cool way. He has unique eyes. Maybe you could have taken advantage of that? |
