Griz, she is BEAUTIFUL! I don't know why it only scored 5.1 tho. I know they are verrrrrrrrrrry picky about portraits, but I don't think they should have been that picky about this one. Melethia's right -- you have captured her personality and sparkle!

A competent and emotive entry. The conversion seems to me to be a tad off......it has that grey cast that seems to be a problem with the conversion. The light on her left arm is a little bright. Enough with the nit-picking......you have managed to capture a soft sweet moment with this lovely subject, something that is all too hard to do. What a truly nice photograph. |

A sweet, natural, warm portrait. It may need a bit more in lighting but you got the important part, and that's passing along a bit of the person's personality. |

The arm on the left is too bright for the rest of the pic. Nice relaxed pose and smile. |

She's pretty and all, but... see how the light on her sleeve is brighter than the light on her face? It draws the attention away from her face. Also, her sleeve appears as if it could be in sharper focus than her eyes. The eyes are critical for getting the portrait right. If this was made with available light, I'd probably darken the sleeve in post processing, and lighten the face, especially the eyes and teeth. If you had supplemental lighting available, it would have been better to get the exposure closer in camera. |
