 This is actually the bottom of a tapered beer glass resting on dark granite. Originally, I attempted to photograph two glasses w/ the rims touching, to simulate the infinity symbol. Unable to pull that off, this view presented itself. A flashlight was used from the side to illuminate the colors. Camera was mounted overhead, via tripod (bogen Manfrotto 3021pro).

Critique Club

Definately a very interesting image. Very good attempt at the challenge. Only flaw I really see is the bluriring of the image, which I am sure was simply cause of limited dof, but it does tend to take away from it.

Nice shot; there is a great prismic color pattern going on here and you really know what you are doing. nice cropping too, although the photo does get a bit "noisy" or over sharp/grainy in the background center.
