I like what you are trying to do here but this image doesn't quite pull it off. I think what it needs is some fill lighting, either with a fill flash or with reflectors (white posterboard?) of some sort arranged around the scene. The colors here are dull and lifeless...

| I think you could have focused more on the statue, there is just so much vegetation in this photo it is taking my eyes off the statue |
