Taken with the Canon 24-70/2.8L at 25mm.

The night before, I tried to determine the exact direction the sun would rise over the horizon, and then looked on local maps to find a railroad track that pointed right in that direction. I had this ''vision'' in my head of photographing the tracks with the sun rising off in the distance at the ''end'' of the tracks.

Well I woke up before sunrise the next morning to an overcast, drizzly day. I went and took the shot anyway since I didn't have any other ideas for this challenge...

Nice image complimented by the telephone poles running parallel to the tracks. The sepia also works for this image. Overall image seems to be just a tad crooked. Good job. 8

Nice perspective and composition. Meets the challenge well. B&W works well for this image, not sure color would work as well-good choice.

no way.. its about the destination for sure. like.. if i want to go see a movie.. i'm not all about the walk to the theater.. i'm only walking to go see a movie.. right there, i found the flaw in your statement. take that! haha, i'm only joking of course.

The perfect shot of infinity. I thought there would be 50 shots of tracks. I'm glad you did this one because it's a 'good' shot. Love your focus, balance, and composition. This is going to be in the top three!!

The utility poles enhance the sense of infinite distance. I like the subtle colors in the sky and the great depth of field.

The photo seems to lean to the right, but under closer scrutiny it seems perfectly cropped. I think it's the telephone poles that are pulling the photo offcenter. Nice work. 8
