| The background is distracting and lighting is too harsh. The drops of water do add interest but are just too many and too small. The beautiful rich aubergine colour has not really been captured. The composition is somewhat static. |

| Very cool blend of textures. Try to make the background more contrasting within itself. also, the photo is basically black and white, so go ahead and take the final step of actually making it black and white. the redness of the core messes it up. if you want to keep it in color, consider a background as such: wrapped partially in a clothe slightly darker than the color of the core. make sure the cloth has a towel-y texture. |

| nice composition, but I find the background way too distracting... it's like I keep trying to figure out what the heck is that... almost looks like bubbles. |
