This is of me and my boyfriend Travis. The sun is coming through the shades behind us.

I added a gaussan blur and then put details back on the line of the faces and in some details in the face and hair.

I was debating on entering this one in the free study, but didn't think it was very "DP Friendly."

How do you think it would have done?

What they said. Interesting light, and very sweet effect. I'd have scored it a 6, likely.

I think it would have done ok - like in the 5.7 range. It's not that it's not DP friendly - just not the typical DP eye candy that overwhelms the top positions in the challlenges usually. I would think it has the most value as a personal keepsake for you and Travis. Framed and set on the nightstand type of thing. :)

this is very good and probably have done well... although you never know, especially in a free study. I think the idea below re a ND filter is worth a try

this is really good.

And the only way to make this "dp friendly" is to enter images like it in challenges so people are forced to look at them

Great shot nice and sensual, yes I submitted to challenge this week and the one thing I thought was wrong on my shot is being commented on over and over. Its a great learning tool, but the DP is very unforgiving, I think the lens flare would have resulted in comments.

That's pretty sexy. I like that we have to study it to see that it's two profiles coming together. NICE STUFF! Love the golden tones of it.

I like the idea. This image is good. However, in an official DP challenge, I would have used an ND filter so that the sunlight wouldn't be so blown-out. Such a filter would have probably brought out more facial details, too.
