 I wasn't going to submit anything for this one as I wasn't feeling very inspired. However, with only 30 or so entries with less than 24 hours left, I figured why not. Technically, this constitutes ribbon hunting, but I'm sure I'll not win anything with this photo.
I did get to play with firing my new flash off camera for this one. I placed it on the spice rack just in front of me to light the left side of my face. Technically, I think that's called 'short' lighting. It appears I still need to work on my portrait lighting. But at least I got to practice with this one.
On a random side note, I'm actually 6'5" tall and the counter is normally below my waist level. I'm actually kneeling on two phone books to get myself down to this level. lol.

Next time, try bouncing the flash. You can see the shadows and they're distracting. Colors are kind of boring too.

Concept: Does not translate well without title.
Image Quality: Excellent. Nice finesse. Lighting is flat over majority of image and really hurts the overall. Could have used a slight rotation.

I watch top chef a lot, so actually how the person is dressed doesn't really seem wierd to me anymore! Nice concept.
