I'm missing the point. Can you help me find it? That is, if you even know what the point is yourself.

This is simply too busy and uninteresting...

although the quality of this shot seems good, overall I would have to say it isn't a very interesting shot to keep ones attention for longer than a few seconds...sorry.

Sorry about yesterdays comment, it was a bad day. I tell you I would have liked it alot better if you would have put it on a neutral background, however not everyone has access to a studio. Lighting is fine, all the stuff around the bowl is distracting, and the candy could be arranged better to be more pleasing to the eye (ex. get rid of that bar code in the front left). I will conceed that it is a still life and will re-rate it as such.

When you decided that this subject would be your choice for the âStill Lifeâ challenge, how many different photos did you make to try to find the best perspective? How many different lighting options did you try to see how light changes could change the mood of the photo? I believe that some considerations of these elements could have helped you create a higher impact photo.

tad overexposed maybe. this is one of those ideas that may be better as an idea than as a final picture. nothing totally wrong with it as a photograph but even the pros would have a hard time making a wonderful picture of a bowl of wrapped candy ... putting it on the ground doesn't help a lot..
perhaps having one bar of chocolate and a bright colored leaf together on a solid background with dramatic lighting would be an alternative.
