 Day 10 of second 30 day SP

I kinda like this. Would be better with a pretty model though. I wanted a 50's look and feel. I LOVE the style of the 50's. speaking of which that green dress from my day 8 shot isn't retro. it's vintage and I ADORE it! :P anyhow...I spent three times as long trying to make a border for this shot than I did on the rest of it. I still don't know what to think of it. didn't look right to me without a border or with any of the borders I painted. but I had to just pick one before the day was over and I had accomplished nothing but a border. lol.

Excellent job - looks straight out of the "june and ward cleaver" era, right down to the pearls! Wonderful light and simplicity.

I love that period too! You've captured it beautifully here. Classic lighting, and the pearls add the finishing touch. I think this would make an awesome B&W. Cool!

Man I am running out of adjectives to say how great your work is! It is without a doubt 50's-ish! Fantastic light and very nice pose and killer hair! Magnifique!

Wow! Excellent job, Crystal! I wonder if a softer look would give it more of the period feel. The lighting, pose are good though!

Wow! This is awesome! If I had a nitpick, it would be the shadow on the right side of the pic... there is a little light showing the bottom of something (your ear?) I would make that shadow just a bit straighter because I find myself looking at it over and over trying to figure out what that is when I should be looking at your lovely eyes, hair, and makeup :) Love the border too!

Nicely done. The hair and makeup are evocative of the period. The light is dramatic for the period I think.

Great lighting, great props (make-up, necklace, etc.), and pretty eyes (love the catch-lights in them). Oh, and sweet border!

WOW - this is stellar. Love the composition and lighting. You most definitely got the 50's vibe for sure. Authentic!! The butterfly on the border is a nice feminine touch, along with the pearls. You did the lipstick and almost no eye makeup perfectly too. Just like they did then.
